Hi peeps ,
So I got myself an old 99 Mille, painted her up and attempted to get her running smoothly!! To no avail!!😩 wouldn’t rev freely almost like fuel starvation, I have changed plugs, caps, leads, getting good spark. Swapped fuel pump and fuel lines, new injectors, it now ticks over nicely but still hits a massive flat spot when the throttle is snapped open, gives a barbarbarbar around 3/4K then jumps up to the limiter . Checked all capillary hoses for splits and leaks.flumoxed!:confused
Cheers guy for any help.

Hi there, I have a 99 too, could be exhaust, if it's been changed, andin regards to the paint did you do it urself or have a pro do it, I want to give mine a paint job, but alot of people won't do it or charge far to much, also there are a few mods you can do to make her go better, I'm sure someone will be along to give better advice

Hi strangler, unfortunately I think it’s a bit more than the Exhaust as it ran perfectly with the delk on before it started playing up, somebody had advised I get the throttle bodies synced and look at the wiring by the headstock, this could make sense as the fans kick in and out depending on which way it turn the bars.lol. As regards to the paint I did it myself as I was a custom painter a long time ago, specialising in airbrush work but now just do the odd guitar and paint job for friends in my spare time when I get some! I may set up and start again once the house is finished!, I’d post a pic but I can’t seem to upload pics on here? Maybe as it’s from my mobile and not a laptop.
Cheers

Defo check wires then, I had a similar prob with a gixxer and once I re- wired the ignition it was perfect, good luck and keep us posted, I can't load pics from my phone so you ain't alone

Not had chance pull it apart yet, but will keep you updated once I’ve fiddled about with it. To be on the safe side I’m going to remove my stator and either get it rewound or buy a new one, solder a mosfet rectifier on and remove and re-wire the ignition. Fingers crossed.
