The one that people cut/remove for more power

As you look at the socket, it's the hole on the bottom right.....which would then be the bottom left when connected

The bike's an 01, it looks as though there's never been one there and there's nothing visible in the harness either...is this right enough

You must have a special rare one! It's probably worth a fortune! ;)

If it aint there then you can't cut it! ;)

Ye right :biggrin

More like its that far back in the harness you dont see.......i was hoping it'd be there so i could cut/remove it and feel REAL power.....oh well :biggrin

Do you still have the standard gearing (17/42 sprockets)? , I can't remember. It's a cheap way to get a bit more 'whoosh' :)

Ian, which model RSV do you have ? I was under the impression that only the ' R ' models have the second fueling map on the RP-58 chip and the CPU uses the 2nd map when blue wire is cut. ( please correct me if i'm wrong )

I had a 00' ' R ' and can vouch for better throttle response and small gain ( never did a dyno test ). 17/42 gearing is standard on '98 - 2003. I changed to 16/42 and was extremely happy with the mix of power / economy / top end. Also you can remove the restrictor plate on the throttle body ( have to remove air filter ) on some models as well as restrictors in the air ducts. Irridium spark plugs are an improvement over stock as well.
