Hey Everyone... just joined as I have purchased a 2014 Caponord that arrives from Sydney on Thursday... looking forward to some long rides through mountains.

Howdy phyllbyracer,

My Capo looked just like that........ same screen, tyres, crash bars..... but when I traded it in on a 1290GT, it had almost 40,000kms up - and it ran beautifully.

I still have a professionally reshaped cut down seat stored in a box in my garage (was great for me at 173cm or 5' 9.5") so if you are vertically challenged or just want to have a better footprint on Aus then drop me a PM (in the AF1 forum and it will alert me on Email)- I'm not looking for huge dollars - making some space in a crowded garage is my priority.

The Kato is awesome, but I still miss my red TP......

Cheers mate :D

Ps I've got a set of sheepskins to suit - they are tailored to the Capo seat so no chance of fitting the KTM........

Cheers BrisbaNord...

Can’t wait to get some miles on it... fingers crossed it arrives early tomorrow night... depending on freight truck... must admit the crash bars threw me cause the ad didn’t have photos and I thought it might have been a Rally... as soon as he said it was red and solid wheels all good...

195CM, so the seat is oddly perfect.. surprised they made it so tall. But works for me so all good... rode one up here and just loved it and the torque... looking forward to a good ride Thursday with a mate... after rego done.

Might see you up at Glorious or Mt Mee one day...

Cheers

Great news Phill....;)

I'll probably still be an invalid for another couple of months (recovering from heart by-pass surgery ..... who'da thought a fit 60yo would have oil pump probs eh?).

Anyway, my goal is to get a leg over that 1290 asap - but I just have to do the time and be physically able to drive before I can think about riding :( - it's been a rocky road so far...... but I think I've 'turned a corner' :D.

Might see you on that striking red-nord over summer.........

Cheers mate
