Hello one and all, just wanted to say hi and show off my new pride and joy :inlove. Just picked this baby on Saturday and well chuffed with it :doug its only got 3700miles on the clock. Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but they are from the advert when it was advertised. I will take some better pictures one's once I can get it out of the garage and clean it after the bad weather :pirate .

Just can't wait to ride it. Let me know what you think?
Thanks

Hi
What are the symptoms.
Mine sometimes struggles to turn over even if the battery is fully charged and it is hot, but most of the time it's fine :dunno

Glad to see you bought the last of the old shape R version, ain't she pretty :inlove had mine 5 years, still mint, only done 9K gonna keep it till one of us gets mashed up :exclamation

Welcome. Looks like there's fun to be had :)

What year is the bike? I only ask because some low mileage RSVs have been known to be erm a bit iffy in the odo department, some of 'em reset to zero miles if the battery is disconnected/flats out. Obviously if there's some mileage related history it aint an issue. Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy.......

If you push the starter button it just clicks on the relay. Don't like doing this but if i short out the 2 connections on on the relay I can get it to start up no problem. Thanks for the advice and I really love the old shape plus they are such a bargain and people don't realise, that's another thing that I love about them. To get another bike in this spec or to this spec will cost many ££££'s more.

The bike is on 03 plate and seems to be true to mileage from old MOT's. It has been off the road for 2yrs stored on paddock stands and apparently has been kept on an optimate. As for enjoying it....... I can't wait to get out on it, stupid snow! :pirate

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I am sure that I will waste many an hour on here and many more riding my new baby. :thumbup

midex, you have per-chased one fine looking example there. Welcome and enjoy the bike! :thumbup only the first of the newer shape models suffered from the odometer resetting, the older shape just resets the time and changes the speed to kmh, so you can be fairly certain that its accurate on yours. Especially judging by the condition :bounce

nice ride pal just get used to the look of the back of the silver ones lol ...

Cheers guys, i can't believe i manage to find this example.

By the way them cans look **** you need to sell them to me:devious:devious

LOL they are ace sounds awesome, I've got a sound recording if anyone wants me to post it up?
Does anyone else experiance popping flames from their cans?
Started it up on Sunday and after when it had warmed up i gave it a quick rev and it popped a flame. I thought oooo i like that, probabley a little excess fuel so reved it again and it popped again :devious

The original idea was to get it up to temp and make sure the fans work but had a little smile on my face whilst doing it. :bounce

WelcoMe to the zone fella. The rsv looks very nice indeedy & I love the shotguns. There is a member on here who also has arrow shotguns and he has cut them down and they look even sexier shortened. Worth considering imo.

I too can't wait for the snow to bugger off so I can get the bike out. Got it out last sat and ran it up. God it sounds good.
