I've already removed the screws holding it ( no. 13 ) and the indicators, but it won't come off.

Am I missing something ? :rolleyes

Found the answer on AF1 forum: the whole front fairing has to come off...

Lift the tank, remove air box and you have access to the restrictor. Should save you a bit of grief.

Thanks Aldo, but it turned out easier than I expected: I just removed the 6 allen screws ( 3 on each side ) that hold the plastic casing:

Then there are only 2 phillips screws holding the air intake piece. Easy as pie :thumbup

The Tuono looks even more aggressive without it:

rico yae canni see the fecker. the advantage is that it lets more air into the air box. The t is the only production naked that uses RAM AIR. The restrictor is aboot a 2"dia opening but when removed the opening increases to aboot 4"x2 1/2". IMO it does make the throttle more responsive.

Cheers n ta A min,
ahm up tae speed wi the idea o it a an weel aware o the principles o it but wiz jist wonderin if it wiz actually worth the effort o tamperin wi it. Guess improved throttle response as ye say wid say aye tae that.

any o u others oot there done this one.

Well, I removed mine because it is cracked right where the indicator sits and I'm having it repaired and repainted.

I'm going to have it painted the same colour, but I wonder if it would look good in another colour...

rico we're talkin aboot different things here. I thought gordep wis askin aboot the air restrictor that sits in the head stock. I didn't realise it was the part under the lights.
Sorry for any confusion.

I was gonna do this, as it appeared an obvious Prilly 'restriction' that was made to be very easily rectified (like map1/map2 and the 15 tooth sprocket), but I spoke to Griff and he said (IIRC) it would more likely lower the pressure

Have many others removed the insert and had favourable results?
