How much oil in an empty tank?

What the title says really.
How much engine oil do I put into a totally empty oil tank?
Fitted a new engine so all fluids were drained

Used that guide for when I did my filter last year, totally forgot about it.
This donut might have put about 4.5 then ran the bike.....
Have I killed it, or do you think i'll get away with it if I drain the excess oil?

I hope so.
It ran and started first time earlier for a minute or tw, then cut out. Struggles to start since then.
I'm guessing it ran until the oil circulated, realized it's got too much, cut out and won't start again as the oil's built up too much pressure or something?

check the air box as most likely oil in there which may have gunged it up
 
Drained about a litre and a half of oil, so just gotta make sure I don't overfill it when I top it up. Checked the spark plugs too. One of them on the rear cylinder head had a bit of oil on it, but nothing too bad, the front two were dry, but pretty manky (photo below). Took two offa my old engine, put it all back together, fired it up....... and it ran!

hmm id be fitting new plugs as there a little manky and your bike seems a bit rich but that could be some oil burning too lol

these bikes like new good condition plugs:thumbup
 
Your bikes running rich mate. Which map and what exhaust you using? Just remembered you've just fitted the engine so I guess just run it with new plugs and check them ti see how she's running.

Yeah, those plugs came with the bike, took two out of my old engine that I was using before the swap.
