I use Dunlop D211's on track but as usual the right side of the rear wears out, the left is a bit worn and the middle has loads of tread.
My latest rear has now worn dowm to a level it has pretty much removed all the tread on the right so I'd nromally change it. But has anyone used a D211 on track further than this? Or is is a bad idea? How far can i go? I'd like to get another track day out of it if possible - they cost so much!!

Not being funny fella but how much is your bike worth? What's it worth to you to take a few unscheduled weeks off work wrapped in plaster? What's left on the tread is pretty irrelevant, if the tyres gone you'll feel it, ignore the feeling & you'll feel it whilst playing out the sky/ground/sky/ground/crunch/ouch scenario.
They may be expensive but don't scrimp on the most important part of your track arsenal.

Just my 2p worth, no offence intended.

No offence taken PaulW. You're spot on. Trip down to local tyre shop this afternoon to get one on order me thinks!!
