Hi guys,

Bit stuck...

I've noticed that the ignition barrel is bolted in with two fastners to the top yoke...one can be easily removed from what i can see, but the other seems to be blank(obviously a security feature).

Can it be removed? As i need to get it off to mount to a new top yoke!!

Gav.

Gav, yes it can be removed. You'll need to dremmel a slot in the head, then use an impact driver to losen it.

Did exactly this yesterday, dremel a slot in the head of the shear bolt and you can use the same bolt again.

alright bud if you havent sorted yet i thought this might be a bit of help for you

Hey guys,
I have to do this myself but i don't have any dremel bits. Can you suggest the right one for me to get. I have looked at a couple and they look like they might be actually too wide (in diameter) to make the slot. Getting an impact driver in there seems pretty bloody difficult too. Any advice??

Justin, pop down to my place, I have a Dremel and other large weapons available :pirate....................also some nice stainless bolts & threadlock to put it back together with :biggrin

Thanks mate. I will probably take you up on that! I am gonna give it another go this week, but if I don't have any luck ill give you a call. Even if I can get it fixed on my own, we should def hook up for a ride this weekend if you're around?

Cheers
Justin
