I have just fitted a pre preg hooked air box kit,::doug,:thumbup, it's well made and easy to fit, it definately sounded nice when i ran the bike, and if it ever stops raining i'll give it a run out, i was going to ride it up to the NEC bike show tomorrow, but due to the crap weather i think i'll go in the car.
anyway cheers Craig, a good bit of kit so far,

REgards, gordy.

BTW, does the foam filter need to be oiled?.

Hi ya gordy.

No mate the filter is pre oiled :thumbup

Craig

I fitted mine a while back, before going to the Halls of Griff... What a noise, and you get to silly speeds much sooner than you used to :D Just the Mutts, it really is. :thumbup

Yep, had mine in since start of the year (ish!) and no problems, still enjoy the intake roar!

Craig, thanks for the reply re. the oiling of the filter.:dunno, now i can't wait for a break in the weather to feel the noise. :doug,

Is the hooked airbox compatible with a k&n? Or is it better to keep the filter that comes with the kit?

I am looking forward for my hooked kit to be manufactured........

So please guys upload some photos to see your kits installed!!!!!:thumbup

Hello,
Where do you get one and how much should I pay? What is involved in fitting ?

Cheers Steve

Gordy what did you think of the bike show, I was there Friday as well. First time I have been on preview day and well worth the extra money.

The preview day is always worth it as you don't get the crowds. the only bikes that stood out for me was, the red bull KTM RC8R, and the new BMW s 1000r. there were a few manufacturers missing, the big honda show was toned down and the ducati stand was lacking in bikes, Aprilia also missing. I went to buy a few small items, and noticed there were not the bargains that you used to get, I guess the advent of internet trading has lessened that,
but i still had a good day out..

It was a shame that Honda and Aprilia where not there but I did like the Suzuki stand. As for the prices, I am almost sure I have seen some of the gear on the George Whites stand cheap in their shop than it was at the show. The RC8 was also a stand out bike for me, quite surprised how roomy it was to sit on, in these days of sportsbikes reaching very tiny proportions. Think if I had the money it would have to be an RC8 or the ZZR1400. Oh well thats the dreaming done for another year, great show.
