hi guys just a quick quiestion
am hedding up ti inverness last weekend of this month what the weather like up there now,,,is it worth the risk taking the bike or be practical and take the car
cold and wet not an issue its the road surface the concerns me

Most roads around the country have taken a battering with all the bad weather. There's loads of pot holes on the roads were I live, and it has been reportedon the news about the state of the roads around the uk, so iw ould assume scotland will be the same

Roads up here have got quite a few pot holes and there is still a far bit of grit laying about them, but if you don't mind the cold I'd say take the bike! I hope to get out next weekend myself, not managed so far due to other commitments. Just be careful :thumbup

took mine oot yesterday just tae drop it at ma mates tae get the tires changed ower, first ride in 4 month, an only aboot 15mile, braw,,,,,,aboot ****** it at the firs roondaboot due tae potholes and greasy as ****,,,,not so braw,,,aboot shat masel,,,,,tal the train lol

Got mine out on the go again and its ****** great! Take the bike i didnt think the roads are too bad wi us and we have had it hard over the east coast. Think inversneggie will be fine.

****** great to be back on the bike to get to and from work no feckin queues anymore yeh ha.

:cheers

I'd maybe go A82 rather than A9 as there's still a fair bit of snow around to the east (Dunblane etc.) so bound to be greasy and salty....yum yum!

Got down to Glasgow weekend before last and the roads were ok-ish on A82 despite a fair heap of snow at the roadside. Take it really easy and you'll be fine. But not sure it would be enjoyable coming so far. ???

is the A82 wellybootshop(tindrum)/glen coe/fortwilliam/fort agustus,,,,if it is i been that way many time thats the way i was gonna go i aint a big fan of the A9
