Guys, I'm after some advice on HID's. What is the brightest/ best for using while riding dark damp lanes, 4300k, or 6000k?
 
+1 on 6000K, dont go any higher, it will just turn blue with less light output.
 
Best light would be from the 4300K but I usually go for the 6000K as I dislike the very slight yellow tinge on the light from the 4300K's.

Don't get anything above 6000K as the light emitted won't be much better than the H7 or H4's you have fitted as standard, unless your just after looks then go for the 10000K as it gives off a nice purple light.
 
Would a 6000k be much brighter than an 100w H7 bulb, or would I be wasting my hard earned wonga?

Much brighter mate and there would be less heat created and less of a power drain on the Aprilia's electrics.

Don't hesitate to do this modification, you'll know what I mean the first time you flick the switch on a dark evenings ride. :doug

As said, you would be saving a 65W drain on the charging system.
Also the 100W bulb creates a lot of heat you can do without.
