Hiya. I'm going to be buying a Tuono V2 (probably Gen 2) this Summer, so I'm doing my research now.
I used to race in the MRO Aprilia Mille Challenge Cup so I'm familiar with the bike to an extent - although that was about 17 years ago... gulp.
But I'd really welcome any buying advice. I live in France now, so I'd be buying a french registered bike. Although there used to be a 106bhp limit here, all the bikes I've seen advertised have been unrestricted full power - which is essential in my book. Looking to spend around 4000-6000 Euros probably - which seems to get something fairly nice out here. I'd like a Factory if one came up, although I don't like the gold frame much - has anyone on here tried carbon frame covers?
I'm aware of the stator/reg issue but any advice on how to look out for the problem when buying privately would be welcome. Also which model years were affected by the battery replacement / speedo reset problem?
