After a year and a half off due to tractor v explorer fight which I lost:mad:

I am soon to be a proud Caponord Rally owner (March 1st)
just got to get it past my (never ride again under no circumstances) family;)

its gonna be interesting when I tell them I've bought a bike, probably end up divorced!!

anyway looking to hook up with anyone from the North West of England for ride outs mainly around Wales or anywhere with good twisty roads.

I will keep you updated with family situation as it happens
wish me luck

G'day bikerperson from Australia.....

Just dropped in to this 2013 forum and spotted your post.

One thing you may not be aware of, Aprilia has dropped the Caponord from production. (we think the last run might have been late 015-early 016).

It is still a great bike but you may want to consider this and also make sure you are getting a killer deal as there will be no more Caponords appearing on showroom floors.(last Capo on my local showroom is a 09/15 build Rally and it has been heavily discounted for clearance at $17,200Aus ride away vs normal price $24k Aus).

Hop over to the 2014-2016 forum for a more comprehensive discussion of the bike and see some photo's and read some handy hints that are easy to do. Capo is mostly a specialist bike to service as it requires dealer access to Aprilia software to do most things......might be a problem if you are a long distance from a good Aprilia agent.

Cheers mate :D.......hope the wife understands your affliction.;).

thanks for the info! I wasnt aware it is discontinued funny the dealer never mentioned it but it is a great price at £11995 otr now you have me concerned about buying a discontinued model?
I'm buying on a PCP basis so I have a guaranteed future value and I can walk away in 3 years anyway! but you do have me concerned.

Sorry to upset the dream, it's still a great bike though, but you just need to know why you will not see any 2016 or 2017 plated models.

Aprilia canned the model due to Euro4, so the Caponord in it's 3 forms (base, TP & Rally) went from 2013-2015/6 and who knows, maybe it might reappear in a year or so with a new Euro4 compliant engine.......or maybe the money has been sent to the MotoGP department.....;).

Like I said, still a great bike with that fabulous ADD everyday suspension and those Givi Trekker panniers. I've ridden two Ducati's recently and as much as I love the horse power they make from the MS1200 engine, I would choose my Caponord without hesitation.

A lovely young filly just bought the last Capo-Rally from my local, and she got $7k Aus off the retail price........now that's a lot of bike for a song!

Cheers
