Just wanted to know is there anything i should keep an eye on (common faults & niggles) and tuning wise whats the best route to go down.

Many thanks will bob pic's up later

Hi and welcome. If you have a look about on here there is loads of info on mods and probs. All I had to do to mine when I bought it was replace the clutch slave for an Oberon unit as it was creeping when the clutch was in. Mileage on the early gen 2 bike is often wrong due to the clocks 're-setting if the battery gets flat, also keep the battery in top Nick and replace the starter soliniod to 150 amp if not already done these bikes need a lot of juice to start and wreck sprag clutches if you try and start with a weak battery. Rear brake is **** some worse than others!
Other than that all good. Not much to do on the mod front unles you have big bucks just the usual cans , airbox, filter and pc. If you put cans on take it to an aprilia dealer and get it on map2 if it isn't already.
Hope that will get you started
Adam

if you want a working rear brake i suggest rearsets thet relocate the master cylinder away from the exaust

Griff at Aprilia performance sells these

welcome by the way:thumbup

brilliant thanks how much of a faff is the clutch slave?

If I can do it anyone can. Couple of hours if your cack handed like me or 30mins if you are reasonably handy. Just a pain bleeding but you get good at that owning one of these!
