Hi Folks so should I upgrade to a Tuono or what?

No responces, -- waa. Am I being discriminated against because of being a 'Yank' and not a Brit, or 'cause I'm a newbie or something. Really looking for some input on wheather or not the Tuono should be my next upgrade from my Shiver - which now has 1200 miles on it. Does the Tuono get less windblast at 80+ mph? Can it be tammed and comfortable for commuting around town and small roads at 15mph to 40 mph? Is the gas mileage really that bad?, my pickup truck gets 19mpg. Is the Tuono a way better choice than the Benneli TNT or Yamaha fz1000? I really would appreciate some feedback -- mates-- even if you just want to trash me, I mean --bloody hell--. Thanks Mark

1. No, windblast is a *****
2. Hmmm Not great around town in all honesty
3. Not that bad on fuel IMO
4. No, the Fazer sounds like the better bike for your needs to be honest

If you had asked "is the Tuono good for thrashing and acting like a tool?" I'd have told you to buy one.

Italian bikes are in no way shape or form a cheap commuter.

You must of slipped under the radar mate, everyone gets a hello on here. I've chatted with Kiwis,Yanks,Canadiens and even Scots and Scousers in one session so where your from is irrelevent. So hello hello hello. On the bike front, some buy with their head some buy with their heart. I am in the second camp.

A warm welcome to the Zone. Like Nobi says, you slipped under the radar mate. (Cause Nobi will speak to anyone, even an Aussie - although he won't admit it)

I think you should go and ride some of the bikes on your short list. I mean a real ride , not just 'round the block.

If the Tuono doesn't stir your soul, then it's not for you. You only have to read a couple of threads around here to get an idea of how we all love our Italian Stallions. You won't find many on this forum who will rubbish this bike for any reason.

Like Nobi says, this is decision from the heart, not the head. If you buy with only your head, you'll end up with some bland, run-of-the-mill UJM and be happy about it. If you like your soul stirred every time you look at your steed, let alone when you thumb the starter and climb aboard and razz the closest set of twisties, then look more closely at a Tuono. I know it does it for me every time, and leaves me with a silly grin on my face.
