Hi everyone

Just thought I would introduce myself as I am now officially a Tuono R owner , picked up a 2011 one today, after many years on
a K5 GSXR 750 which Ive had from new and could not bare to part with but as the years have caught up with me the wrists have had enough
as has the right hand which goes numb 5 mins in , so what a pleasure to ride the Tuono on the 75 mile ride home , comfort , plenty of poke and great handling with no aches and pains, I reckon the wife will be happier on the pillion as well, only fly in the ointment is the SERVICE message is on in the display p-code 0616 A50 something
it doesn't like about the starter but seems to work fine oh well guess I be fiddling with it sooner than expected. Already read the posts on that one, doesn't sound like
it will be much, Anyway suffice to say I am trained vehicle technician spent a few years crewing on a Top Fuel
drag bike oh and have been a biker since I was a slip of 16 year old , had loads of stroker's then a bunch of 750 Suzuki's , but always fancied an Aprilia after using a friends RSVR for a few weeks

so that's me folks

Greetings & welcome to the forum.
My Mrs enjoyed the back of the T too. Its a cracking bike but can be thirsty.
Enjoy

Hi thinking of buying a 2015 tuono. Present bike is a zen 1100 Kawasaki. Is the bike user friendly?

Hi Tivy, I don't know how to answer that !!! I have a 2012 V4 it has 3 maps and within those 3 maps are 8 levels of traction control ..... it is very user friendly and without doubt massive grin factor this is my 3rd Tuono, I'd love the new 1100. What year is your ZXR ?

Awesome bit of kit Ian , mad as it sounds ,I bought a Tuono to slow down , my Gixxer just said thrash me thrash me hard , but love the sitting position on the Tuono
happy to cruise around torquing out of corners , with the odd blast , funny thing happened on my way back from west wittering yesterday after riding about 50 miles downshifts became very snatchy but going up the box was still sweet , clutch feels fine ,bike has only done 3000 miles is this just another aprilia quirk ??

You discribed perfectly what the Tuono is all about , I haven't heard of the gearbox getting snatchy. ......I hate to say it .......but you are using the clutch to change down the box aren't you, the quick shifters are only used going up the gears !!! Looking forward to meeting up buddy at some point

No quick shifter on mine, yes using the clutch for downshifts ,so I was fully pulling the lever back and it was like the clutch was just hanging on a bit, was wondering maybe they are particular about the oil swimming round that wet clutch , no clue what's in it , it was serviced before I picked it up , if its still hanging onto gears next time I'm out will look to change the oil for something that I know is top gear - what does everyone recommend on here ??
