As a new member i'd just like to say hi and post a pic of my new Apprilia Tuono R which i picked up nearly three weeks ago, it's in for it's first service today and i'm having the dealers fit a 15 tooth front sprocket, this is my first Italian V-Twin in thirty years of riding, i've allways had IL4's in the past, all i can say is i'm glad i got the Tuono, i had a Honda CB1000R a couple of years ago but the Tuono beats the CB1000R in every department, love it, i just wish i had made the jump to the Tuono years ago.

Good for you switching to the v motor is the best move you couldve made. Buying the T shows you have class and good taste. Welcome.

My 1st too, had it two years and I'm still grinning like a ****! Welcome to the asylum :thumbup

Hi fizzydx (I was an AP50 man meself ) :thumbup

Cracking bikes aren't they? I've been riding close on 30 years as well and it's my first V twin, can't see myself going back to any other engine configuration any time soon :biggrin

Hello from Shropshite

I Imigrated from IL4s to a TRX850 Yamaha (fell in love with twins) to a TLR1000R Suzuki

Both twins faultless.

Then to a Tuono

So far the T is streaks ahead of anything I have ever ridden or owned ... but ffs it hurts you to have to make allowances for things like a back brake that doesn't work due to bad design, clocks that fill with water, spurious dash displays, hoses that come adrift, indicators that let in water so all the mirroring falls off, issues with regulators and batteries ... etc

Owning a T is more of a commitment than a simple buzzy 4 pot generic Jap kak

What do you want?

An exotic Itallian Ho with more spirit than a man can handle ...

Or just another buzzy 4 pot Asian fizz festival?

The rewards of owning a T are immense

Must practice that

The rewards are immense

The rewards are immense

AHHHH!

SOON BE THE WEEKEND!

Hello from Camoville

I Imigrated from sensible clothes to Camo gear (fell out of love with taste) to basques and stockings.

So far my camo kecks are streaks ahead of anything I have ever worn or pissed in ... but ffs you have to make allowances for things like being followed by young boys with dubious haircuts, abuse, women vomiting copiously in the street, phlegm coming adrift, ... etc

Owning camo strides is more of a commitment than simple blue jeans or black leather kak

But the rewards are immense

I just havn't found them yet.

.....

I have lost count of the number of times I have read that line on here - 'wish I'd bought a T years ago'!!

Welcome and enjoy. But as New says it's a commitment alright, hope you have plenty of time/patience/money ;)

And ... as I am having a snifter ... that's a bit rich G (pun intended) coming from a banker (2nd pun intended)

Now I have my Betty Swollox leathers may I be excused for past misdemeanors?

Sorry mate, couldn't resist! Blame Asda's cheap paint-stripper wine!

talk to me about cheap wine ... I've just completed a bottle of Sainsburys House Chianti ...

Don't buy it

It's as rough as a badgers ball bag

Consign it to pish products

Fortunately (once again) I am working from home tomorrow so to drown the taste and neutralise the pH I am sending done a legion of Carlsbergs

Wish I had the working at home option.

I have to attend the office looking dapper and not at all, really not, hungover and attend very very important meetings where I furrow my brow and nod knowingly and harumph occasionally as is expected, and generally help the world turn.

Actually I do enjoy my job, for the most part.

Come on New haven't you learnt in all your years to drink lager THEN wine - schoolboy stuff......;)

Spot on.

Beer then wine.

Lager before white wine.

Bitter or stout before red wine.

Weed before booze.

It's the law.

On your own there Dave. One thing I cannot drink is whisky. Gets me monged big time.

I'm not generally into shorts, but a good whiskey, or whisky, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Trouble is it's got me into too much trouble (vomiting on genteel person's cream shagpile carpets etc) in the past, so I only partake occasionally.
