Yep,2 years schoolboy grass track racing,then another 2 years in the adult class.
Later on,did a season roadracing on me 900SS,then bought a 500cc Rotax for the New Era single cylinder championship.After another season on the 500,I bought a better 640cc Rotax.Wrecked it in a crash at Cadwell.Rebuilt it and loaned it to Sandra Barnett for the '95 TT.She got a 100mph lap and a bronze replica,....would have finished in the top 10 but for the clutch slipping on the last lap.
Too old for that stuff now.
 
I'm hoping too next year. I've seen Oulton about 21st February £59.00 but may be a bit too early in the year.
 
KeithB, wicked, you will know your self how hard it is being on the outside of motorsport looking, in when you have been involved. Its hard to admit when you are to old or not fit enough. I have raced allsorts, long circuit saloon cars at Brands, donnington, snett, silverstone and cadwell. Also autograss all over country,, a bit of oval stuff at high edge raceway Buxton Derbyshire, but one of the quickest forms of motor sport I have been lucky enough to be involved in, was 250 gearbox, short circuit karting (2 stroke CR250, ooh the smell of 2 strokes), karting is the only thing that gave me a real buzz, and a lot of nerves before a race..Im pretty quick on 2 wheels (so my mates tell me) but I need to ride much more in the future...fD..What else have the rest of you guys done..

I've been karting a few times and I'm **** at it ... red mist followed by crash every time

Hello, its Darren (my name ooohh Im scared).
