How does that differ from the original bike stand?
I read on this forum that the better stands are slightly longer, and have a bend, to set the leg out further from the bike... Hence more stable.
Just having a longer (straight) stand will make the bike more upright and less stable. Having the same length straight stand will make no difference at all.
- Am I missing something? :crazy

Its not just the stand you need with the USA one, you also need the bracket. The bracket kicks the stand out at a different angle .....

Forget the American one mucker, far cheaper ways of sorting it.
Fireblade or blackbird ones do the job.
The blade is a straight swop and the b/bird only needs a wee hole opened out.

The us one is more robust, it has to be able to take rider and pillion with the stand deployed.
As yer know some of them mericans can be heavy dudes.
It's the angle of lean that gives yet the stability.
