Help please - carbon off - speedometer f&%ked

Hey Guys

Hopefully I can get some tips in this one.

Last week I took of the ugly plastic dash cover and replaced with a nice carbon one :thumbup

Now the speedometer does not work, got it apart as we speak. Not like the old bikes with a cable running down to the front wheel. :dunno

Anyone know what I can check, fuses ok etc. All other dash functions seem to work ok right now, just not the SPEEDO!! :rant

All HELP most welcome, dont think I disconnect anything :dunno

If thats all you've worked on then it has to be a connector plug dislodged or not fully plugged in :dunno i'd check all your connections again Pete :thumbup

Check the rear sensor itself for splits or damage to the wiring along its length, also go to your wiring diagram and check its input pin connections to the dash. A fair start i'd say..the sensors do have a habit of packing it in..maybe a coincidence it happening at the same time as you touching the dash ( take off the black n white butchers apron first) flmao ya rough bugger :nana..but well worth a bo-peep first off. Get some electrical contact cleaner also and give the loom plugs a clean up..corosion is a killer. :thumbup

Thanks for the quick response, so far the only small wires are the ones running into the FUSE/RELAY boxes either side of the dash.

Am I looking in the wrong spot?? I will keep checking what I can, other connections look ok.

Talk about a f&$king butcher, I just dropped my forks through the yokes a little. When I re-tightened the brake lever pinch bolts, I snapped the top plate.

NOT riding this week now, YES I am an *****!!

I will just keep doing a check on all connections that I can see, if there is anything else I have missed guys please fill me in!!
