Thank you for your reply,I gave this a go this morning and it seems to be slightly better, instead of sitting at high revs until I turn the bike off and on again it sits there for maybe 10-15 seconds then drops back down and only does this once I've been riding at high speeds for a prolonged amount of time, when stationary for any amount of time it's not an issue however I do now have the issue of revs dropping too low and the bike cutting off completely, not every time I'm stationary but quite often.
