Hi all, recently purchased a rear brake cylinder heat shield and thought i had the fitting sorted but i've hit a couple of problems, as in it doesn't seem to want to fit where i think (make that thought!!) it should! Can anyone out there explain the fitting? or does anyone have a photo of one fitted to their bike to let me see it's position? Everyone said it should be a 10 minute job but it's been an hour now and getting a bit p*sssed off! Didin't think i was that incompetent!!!

Not sure Andi, but i think they were only for the later 04 on bikes, someone else might put light on it:thumbup
 
Cheers Iain, when i ordered it from rsvr.net it asked what year??!! Hopefully someone will verify that as i'm goin off ma nut here!!!
 
The heat shield i purchased from RSVR.net fits my 02 R. From memory the bracket fits behind the master cylinder with the bolts going through the master cylinder then tightening up onto the heat shield. The bottom L shape points toward you whilst looking directly at the master cylinder. It took me a while to figure it out as it's not obvious at first. Hope that helps Andi

had the same problem , got them to send me drawing , bear with me its on work PC so will try and sort tomorow
