Help me evaluate this Mille for sale

There's a bike listed as a 2003 Mille R for sale here near my AOR.

I see quite a few contradictions and mismatches:
- 2000 side and lower fairings with black paint in the center
- Blue wheels
- Silver paint scheme

What do you folks think?

Avoid, plenty of cleaner more original bikes out there in my opinion.

98-00 side panels and seat unit,01-03 tank and vented underseat panels. No ears on the nose cone
R forks and wheels has it got an ohlins rear shock??.
Bit of a bitza

Is it cheap ...then fair enough

The rear shock is a FOX racing unit. I was told a previous owner was a bit of a street racer.

Did 2003 R's come with gold or blue OZ wheels? All the pictures I can find of '03 models have gold wheels.

12,800 miles
Power commander
Leo Vince full Ti exhaust
Price is $5200 U.S.

All depends if it's a 2002 model registered in 2003 or a proper 2003 bike but then it would have the gold with radial brakes,black frame and swinger

So,I'd say this is a 2002 bike

It's a mix:
- Radial brakes
- The frame is black
- The swingarm is silver

The owner says it's titled as an '03 and is a clear title, not a salvage.

I'm beginning to believe it was wrecked and put back together from what they could find...

Must need new glasses ha ha

As I said if it's cheap enough buy it and fit another set of fairings on it

If your gut feeling is a no..walk away

If it's been down check the frame near the gear lever and brake lever.... Normally dents the frame

Check the frame in side the head stock they crack around the air intake holes

Buy the next one that comes along , if your in doubt

I pulled the trigger yesterday and brought it home. I checked the frame before handing over the cash and it looked good. Just a small ding behind the shifter. The agreed to price was $4800.

That's funny! I'm on ebay right now...


I will be enjoying the bike more, as soon as I get it registered and plated on Monday.
