hi guys,

was out on my bike (2005 rsvr) this afternoon to check all was fine as I do every 2 weeks, while out on the bike I heard a loud whirling noise that I thought may be the fan, as I pull over i couldn’t tell what it was so I decide to turn the bike of and then realise that is was the bike trying to start (turning over) even after I pushed the kill switch and took the key out, I’m wondering if anyone has had this issue or any ideas on what it may be?

I would look at the starter relay first and if that is ok then the handlebar switches, kill switch and starter. It is more likely to be the starter button that is bridging due to corrosion or dirt and not releasing proparly.
