Hi guys im new to the forum, and currently own a 99 rsv mille.quality bike but im thinking of a bit of a project! after considering what could be done, and a fair bit of research the rsv/tuono is a great base for a cafe racer with the components,(obviously the engine) already on the bike. mods are fairly simple,to start i will need to turn my mille into a tuono.this is where i need help! after looking at countless pics of tuonos i realise to remove the fairing i will need the solenoid covers left/right and air intakes for the front of the frame.also some sort of belly pan will be on my list.my main problem is locating these parts (for less than the bikes worth!) ive tryed neumerous scrap yards, web sites etc. all i need are some second hand, damaged, even fiberglass panels as the new carbon ones, as you no are mega money! does any one no where the best place for these parts are? maybe aftermarkety race fitment websites?
thanks for looking and i look foward to some helpful replys,if anyone is interested (or still awake!) ill detail the plans for the rest of the bike,it will possibly be the first of its kind in the uk so im proper keen to get on and get it done!
thanks again
sam

There is a full "how to" thread over on our more senior forum, AF1 Apriliaforum It's author Brummymax is a good source of used Tuono parts and pattern bits, try sending him a PM.

There are quite a few lads on the AF1 site who have done the cafe racer bit to their Tuono's. Falco bars are favourite for this - a little less extreme than the mille ones AFAIK.

If Max isn't around, try MSS in Germany, they produce both Carbon and Acrylic panels for Aprilias.
