Hi thought I join forum to ask for a little advice.I have recently crashed my Suzuki TL1000S and unfortunately it has had to go to the big scrapyard in the sky. When I recover I will be looking for another V-twin sportsbike and have been drawn towards the Mille. Please could anyone advise me of anything I need to be checking when looking for one, do they have any common faults or problems, do they wear certain parts faster than others and that sort of thing. Hope to be riding one soon and contributimg a bit more to the forum.

Many thanks

Mike

Hi MikeyH, welcome to the forum.

Happy times are ahead for you once you recover, the RSV is as reliable as any other bike if looked after. Plenty of threads on the forum about issues with the RSV but don't get all hung up on them, they're great fun.

PS. I lived in St. Helens for 20 years, just near Haresfinch Park.

hello there :thumbupthink if the bike has been wel looked after there should be no problems just keep the battery well topped up and learn to start it properly hope you'll enjoy it :biggrin

Keep the battery permanently charged and start it with zero throttle, just the cold start lever. Other than that if you keep it serviced it will be the best bike you ever owned:thumbup

Hi there, the bikes are fantastic, there are some 'unique' features but nothing that should really put you off, plus it would be a natural progression from a TL to the Aprilia....Hope you get sorted soon.

Welcome to the zone matey .. you are definately in the right place. :thumbup

Welcome:bigfinger

I came from a TLS too, 3 in fact. Got a 02 Mille that gets abused every day, and a 06 Tuono that is a little project.

Parts can be a bit pricey, but the forums are MUCH more friendly. :thumbup
