Purchased a 2009 aprilia tuono with 11k on the clock, cost me 3800 queens heads. Its had 1 owner and is mint all round. Only issue up to now is it did not start yesterday after 1 week of ownership, the infamous click!!!!!!!!!! checked the forums and replaced the starter solenoid for the yamaha equivalent, cost me 12 queens so cheap as you like, now starts straight up on the button.

I'm not pissed as I was expecting this with aprilia, their electrics are no secret and it gave me something to do for half an hour.

Last bike was an r1, don't get me wrong the aprilia is not as quick or aggressive or as reliable for that matter but I have to say I prefer my tuono, easy to ride, UPRIGHT RIDING POSITION WHICH IS A GOD SENT, with killer looks and sound plus bags of torque thrown in. I'm simply loving it and glad I bit the bullet an purchased it - finally.

Just hope this bike does not throw anything to serious at me as far as reliability goes, otherwise it will be up for the sack. Anyway hello to all again.

Captain slow.

yep I am, and thanks for the welcome.

P.s I had one of them on the back of my bike too. But I flogged it on ebay.

I'm with you. I just purchased a 2009 Factory with 5800mi on it. Picked it up last weekend and it's been raining every day since. I can't wait to get out on it. My other bike, that I now need to sell to fund this one is a 2007 Suzuki SV1000S. A very dependable bike but it lacks the brakes and suspension that the Tuono has. I did an LSL handlebar conversion on the SV to make it more like the Tuono. What a difference in comfort and handling.
