Hello everyone,
I registered the other day and have been checking out/reading up on the Tuono forums but wanted to wait until I'd actually bought the bike to intoduce myself.
I collected my new to me 2002 Tuono R Limited yesterday after a very long round trip. I've always had a soft spot for the Tuono and love the character of the V-twin engine. I test rode an RSV about 10 years ago, loved the engine but hated the heavy slow speed handling of it, especially after the razor sharp 2 stroke, it felt like you had to throw all your body weight to turn it and then felt like it would fall over onto the floor, hopefully the Tuono will be perfect for what I'm after.
It's been 16 years since I last owned a bike (Aprilia RS 175 -bored out) so I'm planning to take it easy, especially as I now have a family. I need to purchase all my riding gear all over again, this time with a legal helmet (I daren't risk having a crash with my Simpson Bandit in case insurers refuse to pay) and I'll be checking out all the new protective riding gear available so it'll be a few weeks until I'm out and about on it for one reason or another.
Here's the bike which I'm really pleased with, it's number 35 of the 200Nr worldwide limited run (20 in UK);
Cheers
Nito
