I've been browsing the forum for a short time because I recently bought a Second hand 2007 RSV1000R Factory.
I noticed that the majority of this forum seems to be from Europe, but Im from the US. I haven't gotten a chance to take the motorcycle on a good ride because its below 35F right now. But i have been about to have a go around the block a few times, and its an impressive bike. Its my first 1000cc bike and im really liking it.
My last bike was a 2000 Ducati 748,
before that a 2005 Yahmaha R6
before that a 2004 kawasaki ZX6R
before that a 2007 Ninja 250r

Im an auto mechanic so i do most of the work on my motorcycles myself.

About the bike, its a Black and Grey RSV1000R Factory from 2007. Its got no real modifications, I am just getting it road worthy for the upcoming riding season.
So far I've:
Installed new tires (michelin pilot power 3 120/70R17 and 190/55R17)
Cleaned the Fork Seals from dirt, that stopped the leak so far
Changed the Oil and Filter, also cleaned the tank strainer
had a scare with rear brakes, that prompted me to replace all the hydraulic fluid and look into relocating the rear brake master cylinder
Fiddled with the clutch oil jet only to realize it already has a 40 jet
Replaced the bent bars with new clip ons from Renthal. Im not so hot on the idea, but second hand parts are hard to find.
adjusted the levers and suspension to my liking or just factory spec basically.

Thats pretty much it. Im not really into modifying the bike but it sure is a blast.

Best thing you can do to get by the winter months is to work on your bike (for me at least).

I'm a new Aprilia owner too and these bikes are a blast!
