Hi everyone, Just recently sold my BMW f650gs and I'm now the proud owner of a 2004 tuono fighter.

I was aware of the electrical issues etc, before hand but this did not put me off my purchase- just look forward now to some decent dry weather so I can take it for a spin!

Cheers, rob

How are you managing the power change? I ask because I will be picking up a Tuono in the spring - to add to my 800GS. Also - how does it handle around town?

Hey up and welcome Rob,

Hi, weather is poor at the moment and only had the bike for over 1 week so not had chance to try it out. :thumbdown

Hi Ric, in the past I've owned a 1000cc four cylinder bike but never a Twin. I'm sure it will be fun.

Well, although I've not yet ridden my pride of joy I have already concerns with the bike being unpredictable on starting.
I have read the forums about similar issues and already I'm starting to stress out.
I bought a new battery (heavier duty as recommended) bike fired up straight away using just full choke and no throttle, fine I thought.
Went into garrage following day same thing fired up and let engine tick over until cold message disappeared then switched ignition off, I was well pleased.
Today same startup procedure bike turned over but would not fire up , tried without choke nothing, tried no choke but this time a little throttle and so on until the battery failed.
Not liking this!
Bike has been fitted with power commander by previous owner if this means anything.
Cheers rob

Hi Ric, that's what I've done. Going to try it again this afternoon.
