Hi everybody,

Just bought a 2004 tuono which I'll get on Friday. Haven't had a bike since 7 years and that was in France, where I'm originally from.

Obviously I haven't picked the best season to buy a bike but I kept postponing the purchase all summer so I thought I better take the plunge now rather than spend another year without a ride!!!!

Really looking forward to get it, my last proper bike was a 636 ninja and the best I've ever had -so far!-, though not the most powerful was a naked V2, a SV650!!!

I hesitated for quite some time between a speed triple and the Tuono but I like the fact that the aprilia is a little more hardcore and from what I read is also a good bike for longer journeys.

The forum seems to be packed with useful info, glad I found it, hopefully I'll get to share some!!!

Welcome to the forum Ben.
I had a 636 C1h before my T. I bought it to try and slow me down. It didn't work. The T is the hooligans choice of bike.
You'll love the V twin grunt frm low down, no ringing the neck out of it like the inline 4.

The bike arrived yesterday, it is in better condition than I actually even hoped for!!!!

A 2004 with 18000 miles (all old MOT's to back up that), near new tires, just serviced and in very good nick for its age for £2000, I'm a happy man!

Just took it for a quick spin, 35 miles, loved it!!! A bit hard on bumpy roads -for a naked- but that was expected knowing it is mainly a sport bike with a flat bar. Love the torque, no need to always be in the right gear at the right speed to enter a curve..

I'm sure you all know that but I had to share it and since the miss doesn't care about such stories..
