Hello all.
Just stumbled on the forum last night.
I live in the South East - near Dover, looks like many people are spread around the UK and overseas too.
After a few Hondas over the last 18 mths or so, 2 VFR's and a 99 FireBlade - I got myself a 2002 RSV Mille just under a fortnight ago. Not the best time of year for a new steed as the weather seems determined to stop me getting fully acquainted with her!
Only covered 300 miles on her, the first 85 were riding home with a seriously shagged back tyre, but with a fresh Diablo and a new MOT all seems well.
It's only done 10k and had full service hist. I'm told it has an EVO chip fitted and it also came with one of the Ti cans from RSVR.net - will have to investigate the ECU and see once I figure how to safely open it up!
I'm sure I will be asking a fair few questions as I try to learn stuff about the bike.
Cheers.

Welcome on board JayB, enjoy your stay and get up some pictures when you can squire :thumbup

The ECU is simple enough to open up. Remove the seat and disconnect the battery. Remove the seat hump or pillion seat, lift the rubber housing and move it backwards. I personally remove the two 30A fuses first, then disconnect the two plug connectors from the front of the ECU. The connectors can be a bit stiff, so just slowly ease them out. Use a flat headed screw driver if needs be. Don't pull by the wires! Lift the ECU unit out. Using a screw driver remove the small screws on the sides and then carefully remove the lid and all will become evident as to what chip you have inside sir.

The clocks will have reset, so you'll need to convert back to mph etc :thumbup

Hi Jay, loads of info on here via the search function or just ask away if you cant find what your looking for :thumbup

It is very different, but in a good way. Loved my Blade but it was just a bit tired with 27k on it, it needed the suspension looking at really.
Managed to get the RSV for it without dipping my hand in my pocket, until I got home!
Went out yesterday in the last bit of decent weather but it was ruined by the fact I had fitted the race can I got given - TOO LOUD - and I had a mysterious slow puncture and ended up back at the bike shop having it checked and a new valve fitted.
I spent an hour gutting the inlet end of the standard can and I then put that back on. Sounds OK now, but it started raining so I didn't go out again.
I will give you fellow Kent boys a nudge sometime for a meet up or rideout, be good to have a chat and learn a few things... and maybe some choice new roads!
Loving the RSV overall but just wish I could have had the "summer" on it!
