Hi one and all, now I better say firstly that I do not own a Touno as yet but I am looking to replace my MV Agusta F4 with a streetfighter/naked machine as I am starting to find it difficult peeling myself off these days, especially on my yearly trips to European destinations with mates. I think the Touno is the best looking and I have always liked V4's engines after my Honda years ago, but now the BMW S1000R has come out I am being swayed towards that after owning an Italian bike I do wonder if they should be on a wall and not ridden!!
Still I would like to hear your views before I make the change in March.................

Welcome mate , i kinda think 99.99% of people here will say Tuono :yes
Get a Tuono and you wont stop laughing your *** off every time you ride it ..

Liking the F4 !!

I have no doubt that the S1000 will be fast and handle well, but will it have the soul that the TV4 has?

I doubt it.

I have owned many inline 4's and none of them come close to the V4 for character.

Why not a Brutale, more of what you already know, just a thought.

I love my Tuono and would happily have it over the BMW.....and that's saying something as the BMW is something.

Nice choice to have to make to be honest :)

i , expressed an interest in the s1000 beemmer at the bike show ,
my local dealer has contacted me to say that to garauntee a test ride when it is released ,i will have to stump up a £200 returnable deposit .
as there will be no demo model and the one i test ride would be the one i buy if serious ,

i think with that attitude i will be keeping my tuono , not that ive got any plans to change bikes as i think the t is great and ticks all the boxes anyway !!

Yeah well I know what you mean, I tried the S1000RR which is a fantastic bike but fugly, so brought the MV, even a mate wouldn't give me my MV back when we swapped bike whilst in the Alps last year and he rides a S1000RR and races a GSX-R!
I have been some what put off Italian bikes somewhat by the crap workmanship and a useless importer, I have had several issues with the MV not all of which have been settled, but I am hoping Aprilia is better as I am really thinking of it as a replacement.

I think the beemer will be a good bike but i think an inline 4 has no soul unlike a Vtwin or V4 , the noise the V4 makes on full chat is mental plus the beemer did hit every branch on the ugly tree when it fell out :crazy
As for build quality etc .. im on my 3rd Tuono and the only problem ive had was an oil pressure switch fail and the new V4 is put together really nicely , i would sooner have a little italian character rather than bmw boring ...... but like all of us on here ... we are all a bit mental ..... :crazy

Could be on my own here though .......... hello ....
