hi there lads fitting some heated grips on my 06 tuono need some advice on the wirering up of them please so i can have them turned on with ignition and off thanks.

Not understanding you?

do you want them powered all the time, regardless of ignition?

or only powered when the engine is running?

Actually the answer is similar regardless.

i assume that the heater coils are a large load.

You should connect them directly to the battery.

If you want them to shut off when the engine is running, use an auto relay and switch it with the live feed to your low beam lights. Tuono headlights are supposedly wired to come on once the engine is running (above 600 ISTR)

sorry i want them to come on with ignition .and go off wen i turn ignition off

depending on the load they require.

either

take the feed direct from dip beam power supply

or (perhaps better)

use a relay as I described to switch the power direct from battery

This does mean your grips will go off if you hit high beam though. :dunno
I don't think I have ever managed to get high beam on mine.

Using the low beam feed means that when you are starting the bike the grips will be off, putting less of a drain on your battery at start-up
