Heat wrap...

Hi, has anyone used the heat wrap to lag their link pipes and collector? was thinking of doing mine to keep the heat away from the rear shock
and generally keep the temp down, Cheers
 
ive done the job on a few bikes......

noone has ever really given me any feedback on how it works to be honest....

Yip, me! Never noticed any real world difference but can't be bad for the shock!!
 
I've put some on mine as I kept melting my boots on the exhaust, very interesting when it gets wet and you run the motor!!!

I think this is the one I bought, it was enough to do one exhaust, make sure you soak it first and get ready for the steam when you first get the engine running!!:crazy
 
Not great if you ride in the wet often as it quickly goes brittle and cracks. Then you have to do a lot of rubbing to get the pipes back shiny!
 
Good advise, Cheers, going with the titanium wrap looks to the best option, more expensive but better in the long term..
