Have any of you guys used the rear brake heat shield as sold on "RSV Racing" link, does it work?As a new owner & member of forums i now know that this is a common fault & not unique to me but will try anything to get out of weekly bleeding chore.Ps its less than i a fiver to buy sod it i`ll risk it.:dunno

Bought one on ebay, also had silicone racing fluid put in, and after reading posts on here, leave a railway sleeper on the brake pedal when the bikes parked up.And.......For the first time in 3 years I have a back brake that works for longer than 300 miles...

When MoT time comes, I just hand a bag of wall tiles on my brake pedal overnight - works a treat.

I just cleaned the piston/caliper,de glazed the pads and fitted the heat shield from AF1 and I have no complaints about my brakes at all.

They just work like you'd expect them to,no fading,no pumping, nothing needing hanging on pedals, just a solid reliable brake pedal.

Can't understand all the problems people seem to have,I'm sure it's all down to bleeding them properly.
