Hi all,

Newbie here on the forum. Just bought a Red 2005 RSV1000R. Lovely bike but I need to replace the headlights (from UK to EU model).

Before I go wild with my screw driver on April perhaps someone can share your experience with replacing the headlights (LHS+RHS).
LHS seems pretty straight forward but RHS has the horn in the way.

Please share what ever info you might have that could ease up the operation on April :)
I have searched this and other forums and google wasn't to helpful.

Thanks in advance

Rick

take the nose cone off, very easy. Having easy unrestricted access will result in less headache, much lower risk of accidental damage and a better result. take off wing mirrors, pull the plastic plugs out underneath, dash trims, and prob side panels. I had mine off last week to swap the thing and change screen, was maybe 40mins all in, including swapping the headlights. DONT over tighten the headlight securing screws, just nip them up.

Thanks Skull. Seems pretty strait forward but can you elaborate on "pull the plastic plugs out underneath".

Thx

plastic reusable pop rivet plugs, and one tougher one in the middle, but basicaly pry out with a knife first to get an edge, then i use a kitchen fork..
