Headlight Covers

After having a stone smash my screen and a few lucky saves by the radiator guard I bought some headlight protectors yesterday. I went for the light smoke to try and match the silver and also didn't want to block out all of the light. Hopefully the light smoke will still allow me to be seen (if they don;t hear me first :devious ) and in emergency cases allow me to ride in the dark if I really have to and have no way of storing the guards.

Does anyone else have them and is there any photos of bikes with them fitted?

Black would have looked good against the black air intake and "Ears" but thought it wasn't really practical to block out all the light.

i got set of dark covers and lights still shine through....

Were they the Dark Smoke or the Black? Aso where did you get them from? Do they stick on with the Velco tabs or something?

I have got a black one on my 02 bike and you can still see the headlight through it fine. Not bright enough to ride at night tho.

mine are black and like black sabbath said lights do shine through but must be removed at night. got mine from rsvr.net just stick that in google search and you'll find it, its another rsv forum but they also sell lots of stuff for rsv's in there online shop...

I have oreded mine off Ebay from evlplastics so I will let you know what they are like.

They do look sweet!! Do you not mind the veco patches? I guess there is nothing you can do about it though. Maybe cut them to chape a little so they follow the edge of the light?

I have the Same MRA Screen to fit to mine too when I get round to it. Off topic but is that screen good for wind protection cos mine at the min seems to bat my head from side to side unless your bolt upright or tucked right to the tank.

Mark there easy enough to take off and put inside your jacket at night time no probs

Nice comments guys, what are you after:pirate

Mark, i don't really like seeing the pads, but i could not think of another way to fit them to allow them to come off easily for cleaning behind them.

The screen makes a huge difference, i am 5'10" and would not be without this screen now, get it fitted:biggrin:biggrin

I'm within two minds to phone them up tomorrow and if they haven't already made them getting the dark tint instead. Then maybe the Velcro won't be as visible and like Sharky said I can always shove them down my leathers if caught in the dark.

I'm planning on getting a solid white one for my mille, I have black ones on my zx6r

Not much light passes through those babies! They do look good though against the black fairing. I tried to buy some black velcro strip last night from E-bay but ended up ordering the sew on type! :jack Muppet! I am going to see if they will let me cancel my order but no big deal if they wont as its only about £3 for a meter.

If they say I have to buy them I might just use some Evo Stick stuff. Just didn't really want to have glue stuck to my lenses just in case I wanted to take them off in the future for selling on or something.
