So i used my bike at night time yesterday for the first time. And noticed that the headlamp aim goes straight up looked like the bat signal lol. so tried adjusting it today Manuel says just turn the screw but to get the screw i had to the nose cone off which was a nightmare. adjusted it quite alot and just tested and it still skywards. :confused but noticed the nose cone doesnt line up very well with the rest of the fairings could this be why?

see how right hand side of screen looks higher.
gonna try again tomorrow any ideas suggestions is appreciated.

use a philips bit, turn the handlebars to full-left and you will be able to adjust it without removing the fairing. :) as for the fairing not lining up check the fairing frame, it might be bent...

ok I'll have another look tomo but I couldn't see the adjust screw without removing the nose cone. the wiring a bit of a mess behind it. gonna try reroute some of it. what you mean by the fairing frame without sounding like a noob these bikes are all new to me. thanks for reply

the fairing frame is the aluminium part that bolts on the bike's frame and the dashboard, the fairing and the mirrors bolt onto. hope i made miself understood, i'm not a native english speaker! :)

I know what you mean I'll check tomorrow. and your English is really good :) thanks for your help

i'm now reading what i wrote earlier and i'm getting a headache! :))) it should of been "...dashboard, AND the fairing..." and also "myself" :))) gotta stop hurrying up when posting on forums! :)

p.s. you're welcome! :)

Looks like the bike was drop to the left(maybe into a wall) seen to bent the left clock frame arm inwards

hhmmmmm maybe right there. hopefully wont rain tomorrow so i can have a good look. if it is bent do you think will be ok to bend back ??

yep, you can bend it back but if you haven't done this before i'd say go to somebody that has...

well I lined up the fairings best I could and actually put some bolts in what were empty voids lol adjusted the screw until I can't anymore but still points up :-/any other suggestions? I might just leave it and see if it passes it mot in June?

Somebody said are the bulbs upside down? can they be installed upside down ??

I think the direction of the light beam comes from the orientation of the reflectors, that is, the headlamp unit itself.
Your mate who said the bulbs might be in upside down sounds like he's 'arvin a giraffe.

PS: Why are you asking Manuel for help? He's not qualified to wait tables, never mind to dispense Mechanical advice.

Manual* you know what i mean lol
Thats what i thought light just comes off the reflectors.

maybe we should lol. The slight bend doesnt bother me its just the headlight is like a bat signal. shines in peoples bedrooms instead of the road. Just worried it will fail mot in summer ;/

I know why the headlight is sky bound. The headlight adjust screw is out of the adjuster holder so the actual headlights inside the glass is free to move around ( if thats makes sense). But for the life of me cant get the screw to hold the lights in place. Any ideas ?

i asked you if it would turn and turn and turn on the other thread! :) you have to open up your headlight. either boiling or a heat gun (even a hairdryer but it takes more time) will help you to get it open! :)

Push the bulb to swing the reflector down while turning the adjuster, with a bit of luck it will recapture it's thread if that's the problem, not sure exactly how it all goes together in there. It's got to be worth a try.
