Has anyone tried these tyres?

Nope and I never would, always stick to the major names as they are 99.9% of the time spot on!

Why risk it for the sake of a few quid?

Bridgestone BT016's for me and they are excellent in all weather.

used to have them on my bandit, thought they were ok for the money, and seeing as i did 40,000 miles in a year on it, the price to the level of grip was good.

Then my best mate fitted them to his zxr400, the rear delaminated, so was sent back, and replaced, then it did it again, so he went back to michelin macadams, and when mine wore out, i went back to pirelli's.

havn't touched em since and won't again.

I have Maxxis tyres on my Busa, not really a cost cutting issue for me but after I read the adverts in the press and read the burb on them by Guy Martin I thought I would give it a go.

I change the tyres every year as I ride two up 99.999999 % of the time so outright grip is never an issue as I don’t go that fast (Not wishing to orphan the kids)

So far 2.5K on them and they have not squared off, I typically run Avon’s on the Busa and to be honest these are at least as good and seem to be wearing a little better.

Give them a go you will be surprised, I had Pirellis on my RSV and they were not great, on the other hand the 207RR Dunlop’s I fitted to my ZX7R were fantastic :)

I had them on my old falco, tbh I wasn't that impressed, they took ages to warm up and seem to turn in a bit slow.
I wouldn't consider putting them on the mille.

One of the boys had them on his gsxr 750 at germany recently and he was on it all day, never caused him any grief!

gents that last comment was so right...... But i have them on my mille ..no problems with warm up..i have the sports ones not the touring..i have had no problems with them...put them on before the TT...all good as far as i'm concerned.

A friend of mine races super motards and usea them and a good friend who rides a lot harder than me is getting some...good enough for him and he's an ex-racer

Michelin 2 cts for me all the way , ive done 1700 miles on mine and the middle section has only started to wear!!!!!!!!!!

On the M1s i did 1700 and they were dead.

Before I ever consider a tyre for my Mille-R, I try them out on my Diversion, and that does the same daily commute, only in damper and colder weather. Let's face it, I have been quoted £130 for a rear for either bikes in either Michelin RP2 or Dunlop Roadsmarts...
£140 for a set of Maxxis?
I think it is worth a try...

If your last name is not Rossi go for it! Should be a good street tyre for normal riding. Nobody makes bad tyres for average drivers anymore.

You can also see people that put supercorsas on their bikes for street usage and have a 3cm chicken strips on them :D

look at page 5 in this forum for "Another Bloody Tyre Thread "

even KIWI RSVR is getting a set....
