has anyone hacked the kickstand to mod it?

I was thinking maybe it's not a bad idea to hack saw the end off the kick stand and bolt with a big head on it cuz it has been getting on my nerves lately. Is there a cheap after market short kickstand for 2000 mille?

I cut about 10mm off mine and welded the footplate back on, Basically I'am a bit of short arse only being 5' 7", so I lowered the suspension to enable me to reach to ground with a better footing. The stand works brilliantly now and the bike is very stable when pared up.
I would sertainly say go ahead and cut it down if your bike is the 2000.5 model, I not sure if they changed the stands on the newer Bikes?

Have you lowered you bike? If not and you are looking for more lean you can get a US spec sidestand.

I tried modding mine but the best option is to get a gsxr stand although i still had to cut that down by about an inch

I agree, mines a tad wobbly when not parked on solid surfaces.
