Hanging cable

Anyone know what this is for and why its dangling below the front sprocket cover for (06 RSVR) cheers

Well, today is my final ride of the year :rant
Havent got a garage and dont want her sat outside all winter so I have decided to put the ol **** to bed in my missus's garage....... in Milton Keynes. Hopw to start saving to buy some goodies ready to put on her in the spring. Saying that the missus might be moving out in feb so might have to ride it back in snow/ice/hail etc etc

Damn those emoctions! hmm, ohwell, guess I'll just have to work out what the cable is myself (its one black wire, and one brownish wire going into a white connector)

just had a look at mine onlything like it is my side stand switch if that helps mate

Thats what I assumed, just seemed wierd for it to be hanging there. Will tuck it away somewhere nice......

bodge alert! using a chocolate block to join two wires together and just leaving it dangling is shocking.

Hmm, wonder why thats been done then. Cant really look at it now as is tucked up for the winter 60miles away! Will try to trace it next time I'm over at the missus's to find out what it's for, although assuming its the sidestand as said above.
