Handy tip

That's a novel use of vinegar.

May have to rob some from the missus cooking cupboard and get to work on my rusty bike bolts.

Cheers for the link.

Don't know what i am going to use on my chips tonight now:thumbup

Well if that's genuine, which it seems to be, then that's pretty amazing. How didn't I or more people know that?

.....Or is it just a cruel hoax to make the foolish one's among us cover our bikes in vineger and the resulting stench means we can be singled out and mocked. :nana

Looks a good method for lightly rusted items.

That looks to me like aluminium/aluminium cast probably with a small amount of steel properties for strength hence the light rusting.

i will give it a go to see how well it works.

can be used for loads of other stuff aswell.my missus has a book with loads of other uses for vinegar.
i will try and dig it out and list some of the good ones.

pat.

Top tip, Just remember to wash it off very well or it will continue to eat at the good metal and leave not so good marks :)

That's amazing :doug I almost wish I had some rusty bits to try it out. Anyway, I'm going to save that item in my 'very useful tips' file:thumbup
