Whats the preffered handle bar position.

I like mine rolled well forward in the clamps to put a bit more weight over the front.

I would even consider trying a set of straighter bars to see if it feels even better, a bit like those on a Ducati streetfighter.

Has anyone tried this ?

I like to be a little bit forward so I can get a bit of weight over the front wheel, I rode a m8's bike and his bars are set back felt like the front end wanted to lift all the time....not a good feeling.....:crazy

Jist steer it wae yer arse boys. Slow doon on yer approach and give it wellie All the way roon.

Nice 1 Zippy.
Mine are as they were when I got the bike, may try moving them forward next yr as front does get light when pushing on.

In all truth my mates son said that I always drop down and lean forward just as I open up to over take. I never realised I did this till he told me.
And I came from years of 600's and still start to wind the throttle open while in the corner instead of standing it up and firing it out of bends like most of big bike riders

Nae need tae stand a T up, jist keep it hunckered doon wae a load of wellie on, imo that's whit they do best.

Loaded and hunkerin doon under loads of power.

Slightly forward, keeps weight over the front and forces me into a slight crouch forward, helps against the wind blast a bit. IMHO

Aye ....agreed.... havin tailed Aldo a few times noo, an at a decent lick ana, ah kin vouch fur his "hunkered doon" stylee as it works fur him....the loon carries some fair corner speed ahl tell ye. :thumbup
Likes a tight inside line as weel, does A min, often huz twigs an stuff stuck awe ower him frae grazin the verges an hedgrows wi his heid on they left handers. :lol
Must be somethin tae dae wi awe yon motocrossin stuff hes done in the past.

Oh aye...an tae answer the question...ah huv ma handle bars kicked forward an up a wee bittie, Feels much more "connected" and suits me fine being tall

When the bars are back too far it always feels like I am hanging on rather than being in control.

Much the same as holding onto the reigns of mad hoss that has just bolted.

yeah, have mine forward a tad, feels better for me ! How many rings showing on your forks Olaf ? i have 3 showing on mine..

rmin, it wis a fudfest tae remember fir sure, loads of miles on deserted roads and everyone havin at shot on point, two days ridin and only a we bit of rain on day one, (a wis drookit on ma way hame) right enough.
A enjoyed the last 40mls fae Tounge tae Thurso. I sorely needed a pint, so at ma days 400mile point Mr R says Aldo ya Fud it's yer turn fir the lead. So a took a deep breath and fired aff, it wis a Saturday early evening and the **** weather we'de jist rode through wis well behind us, the road wis open wae nae **** tae spoil yer view and a thought jist feckin ride this the way yer enjoy, slow in and power all the way through.

A'm sure me and the rmin had a feckin hoot ower those 40mls.

Cheers mucker.:thumbup
