I'm looking for a riser for my new 1100RR to raise the bar about 1 inch or more. I sent an e-mail to Customer Care but never got a reply. My dealer thinks that there is one from the Mana 850 which works. Any ideas?

Yes they do. Double check on AF1 website.. I saw them on there and they been mentioned before somewhere on the forum

There on AF1. Click on Aprilia and Handlebar Risers on the "Search". Ive ordered mine. 74 Dollars plus 26 dollars shipping

I've heard that a Caponord bar riser fits straight on with some lengthened cables. Anyone have any experience with this option?

I have the manna risers on my 14 1000 model and a mate has them on his 15 1100 model. The only issue is the front brake line being a bit tight. We removed the P clamp holding the cable to the bottom fork holder and I very slowly bent the banjo fitting to a less severe angle. I have a bit of slack on full lock either way. The diff in handlebars between the models is also obvious with where the hose fitting crosses the top yoke.

Thanks for the info beagle. Any chance you could post a couple of pics of the cable areas you mention?

aprilia riser 2.jpg installed risers and hose adjustment. Bend very slowly. You may also have to loosen the clutch cable location loop on the yoke and turn it a bit for extra clearance. I had a problem loading the photo. You may have to edit it for view once downloaded.

I changed the foot pegs over to 1" lower at the same time to reduce the cramp of the riding position for me. I found the change too much and should have done one or the other. The stock pegs are back on as it was the quicker change back. I rode the bike for six months to allow my dynamics to change for the bike and found for around town the higher bars are a godsend. Out on the hills the stock set up was fine, but everyone is different. I found the 1100 to be a comfortable all rounder compared to my 14 V1000. I have put an 1100 seat on, changed to front sprocket to 15t and a modified screen so have addressed most of the comfort issues so it is more like the 1100 to ride except for the higher mid range rush which I rarely use anyway. You need to decide what it is, that getting to you. Is it a neck ache from looking up, short arms reaching the bars or legs cramping from too much bend. Then decide in either bars or pegs. Taking a packet of painkillers before each ride is also a cheap fix...LOL....

Thanks for the info. I've only had the bike less than a week - have done about 350 k. So I've not settled on the need for any changes yet. But I do commute on it in heavy traffic, so I would prefer to sit more upright. Footpegs didn't seem too much of an issue. Seat is hard, but I don't find it overly uncomfortable over the distances I'm doing. First priority is to get my luggage system sorted. Thanks again.

Hi Can I ask which footpegs you changed too.

I put Mana risers on my V4 and took them off again after a couple of months as I preferred the stock bar position.

I found I was a little too upright with the risers on.

Have a set in the shed if anyone wants them. Prob UK only as postage abroad would more than likely be cost prohibitive.

I haven't been on the forum for a while but I noticed your post. I had the Mana risers on my 2016 Tuono as well and I found they put you too high into the windstream. I switched to a 2017 model (for the quickshifter - fabulous - and the TFT dashboard - also fabulous, especially when changing ride settings) and told the dealer not to re-install the risers. Like yourself, I find the stock position much better, especially at speed.
