The part circled in red, below:-

From my Doohan rep RX7-RR4.

Its a piece of black plastic that sits on the bottom lip of the lid and its about 6-8 inches long, splitting either side at the side of the helmet.

Noticed it was a wee bit loose this morning at one side where the glue had obviously dried out a little, but on the way home from a run just now, it parted company with me at some point. :bangwall:

I've had a look at a few places online, but all they seem to do is visors, side pods and liners.

Dont care where in the world I have to order from, anywhere will do!!!.

Ah, now there is a thing. Had the same happen to my Quantum F a couple of months back. Gave up all hope searching here there and everywhere. Popped into my local Hein Gericke to ask, he says wait a mo, gets on the phone to Arai, and hey presto, two days later a brand new one totally gratis appears :)

Find a local Arai dealer that will give the UK Arai supplier a call and you'll get one no problem sir :thumbup

Alternatively, Phoenix Distribution are the UK importers, and i'm guessing it was them that Hein Gericke called. You can get them on the number below sir.

Cool, thanks for the info m8.

Was gutted to get off the bike and find the bloody thing was missing.

I'm off out to the shops now so I'll backtrack a little on the route I took and see if I can spot it lying anywhere. Doubt it though. Or even if I do find it, its prolly been crushed to bits by a car tyre.

Too busy rest of this week to nip into any bike shops, so in the meantime I'll email the UK Arai importer and see what they have to say.

Mine too came off my old Quantum F so I glued it back on (aroldite). Job done.
Mind you, I have a new one now but it's still in use as an occasional helmet for my son and still intact.

Cheers BoB, was just about to ask what to use to refit the thing, Araldite do the job ok?.

tell ya what is cool if any of you guys with arai helmets go to any BSB,WSB,Motogp, etc take your lid into the arai stand and they give it a free service and will more often than not replace any small broken bits for nowt:thumbup

Yeah, I've heard that.......so what does a "service" on an Arai lid involve?. :confused

I've often wondered!!??
