Anyone have any info on this chip? Have just been given.one.. is it meant to have a sister board? As this one does not.. if the case is that its meant to have a wee sub board.. then am I right in.assuming the chip is scrap?

Not sure if the Haga chip does need a daughterboard. The aprilia 'performance' chips like the evo ti chip seem to use that method to protect the software so on that basis it might do. If you need one, then I'm told that the daughterboards are all the same.
To test it... plug it in to the ecu, if you do not hear the fuel pump prime and the EFI message does not go out.. either it needs a daughterboard or the chip is f*cked.

ok just fired it in with and without daughterboard and nada.. so she must be goosed.. ah well.. dr.rossi chip is on the way anyway.. so no biggy

More likely need the daughterboard. Ask SteveR to confirm. He has a Haga with original chip I think.

aye it was in the box along with an rp58 and a daughterboard.. the things been laying in the mates toolbox from quite possibly the launch of the haga rep.. as he used to be a mech in an aprilia dealership.. from what i've read they only hold data for so long before electrons start passing through the insulation of the floating gate.. voiding such data..

sorry im no help, my haga already had the haga chip fitted and the rp58 on still in the little blue SBK box. The box didnt have room for anything else, but im not even familiar with the concept of the sub board so... :/
And i`v had no reason to see how the haga one fits. From what I understand though, it was made to suit the 2-2 akra exhaust on the haga, so unless your running a similar profile system, maybe better of with something specific for your set up anyway??

The chip being removed in the first few pictures is sitting on a daughterboard. DrRossi calls it a descramble board.
