I've left my mille standing outside since October without being on a battery charger or anything. I forgot it's Italian and forgot to plug it in

I've just been out to try and start it and guess what happened........

i'll be back later to see if anyone guessed right.

It started first time and feeling extra chuffed with yourself you turned it off and went back indoors to make a quick cuppa whilst thinking about getting togged up to go for a ride and laughing in the face of claims of rsv's being an arse to start..........you then went back outside, all kitted and ready, and feeling rather smug with your rsv's superior starting behaviour. You put the key in, turned it, thumbed the starter.......

It clicked and the clocks reset. You are now looking for jump leads :nana

Wasn't like badgers experience was it and mice had nested in it and eaten anything that took their fancy.

I can still picture Badgers waders with nice holes eaten in them. Lovely fluffy, cute target practice things that they are.

Or did it grow breasts and you had the ride of your dreams and copped a feel at the same time saving you £50 a week on "Professional services". :devious

1st off I found the padlock had been attacked, but survived.

But 1st click off the button and brum brum!
Gotta say I was impressed. It didn't used to start after pulling over never mind being left for months.

The Yamaha, now that's a different story. It wouldn't go :(

It started first push of the button, but then you found out the charging system wasn't working.

Then you noticed it overheated and the head was cracked from not enough coolant, and it blew the head gasket.

The brakes had all seized up, meaning it wouldnt move from the spot, the vibes opened the rust patch under the fuel tank and it caught fire, resulting in yours and the the whole road you live on houses all burning down, and the school over the road as well, which really pleased the kids as it gave them a long weekend.

If any of the above happened, i didn't mean it, honest.

Does this mean I was closest guess ... it was almost nicked :devious

Glad to hear it wasn't and that it started :thumbup

a well done! lol

I was expecting everyone to say a flat battery or knackered sprag clutch as almost every other post is about one of these going wrong.

Touch wood it looks like the starting problems mine had are now sorted

You must have the one the oracle spoke about mate , never ever sell it :thumbup

Yeah, ha ha. I know, I think there should eb a seperate forum sub-section for the bloody starting issues!
Mine hasn't even been peeked at since Christmas Eve and is not plugged in. But tomorrow I will go outside and start it first try and be happy. :nana

(I'll be on here moaning to the contrary at 9am! LOL)

I put mine on charge on Wednesday on the Optimate, 1st time since mid-December.

Even the time had survived! Fantastic.

I'd forgotten how much feckin' sh!te there is on the road at this time of year at the moment - had to ride it to get the alarm/immobiliser verified by a Meta agent :puke

Ah well, another 3 hours cleaning, listening to football tomorrow!

Good stuff mate, ya see this old badger knows his mille's:thumbup

A good battery is an absolute must as it stops other problems developing, if your battery is suspect at all guys, do yourself and your bike a favour and spend some extra money on a better battery.
