Wotcha, at the request of Brooksey I shall introduce myself, not exactly a newbie as I have been floating about on here for a while, firstly to get some info on the bike before I bought one and after to sort out the problems that most of us have encountered.
Anyway let's begin, 53yrs old, bald, fat, with a few of my own teeth left, wife, grown up kids and a house full of rescue dogs.
Began riding in 76 on a purple Fizzy like many did and then through the 250 era then on to GT380, 750 kettle and then a Z1000 in 79 for the discounted price of £1700! ( how much are they going for now!!).
Many bikes came and went mostly jap stuff a couple of Guzzis thrown in, so I am familiar with the Italian idea of quality control.
In recent times a few big overweight four cylinder retro dinosaurs, until the body said this is too heavy and started to complain.
So started looking for something a bit more manageable, also one that I could still do all the maintenance myself as this has been something that we learnt to do from the moped days as we never had the money to pay anyone to do it so we just got on with it. Took a Tuono out for a ride and I was blown away! So THIS is how a bike should handle, where is the hinge in the middle and the pogo rear shocks!
Thank god for Tesco 0% credit card, a 07 factory took my fancy and the deal was done.
What a tool, it's a ****ing weapon, makes me look like I know what I'm doing!!
