Yes, that was cool. I guess he learnt those kind of tricks training in Spain. It's about time our lads learnt to play a bit on the wild side.
How about that overtake by Toseland? That made the Suzuki rider sit up didn't it?

No doubt about your other comment, Happy ped is a brilliant rider, but............

Yep, James certainly isn't letting people push him around is he!!

Well well, so now is all down to electronics. Ok, electronics help but not only to some but everyone, you need to be skillful to set up the bike. Every single rider has the aid of electronics, even the british.... so no excuse Sharky. Rant over, good night

I'm sorry mate but you did say were all too young to see any great british riders in the same league as Pedrosa and all i said was that the late great Barry sheene had no electrics on his bike and in my opinion he is by far a better rider in GP's and with 2 world titles to his name i think that is enough proof and i did not say any thing about pedrosa and electronics of this year.
All that i said was put Sheene and Pedrosa on 2 bikes from 1976 with no electronics on and see who would win I don't think pedrosa would have the upper body strength to handle the machine. And your right they do have electronics on bikes today even Toseland but he has 2 races and 2 sixth places which is not bad on a private yamaha

That comparison can't be done. Differend times, bikes, styles etc etc. Probably takes slightly different skills to succeed nowadays. You only have to look to some great pilots who don;t know how to set up the bike. They can be great riders, agressive, clever and with a lot of passion but don't know how to set up the bike and fail to succeed. Nicky haiden, Criville (another spanish who won a 500cc when it was still crazy) those guys had companions who set the bike for them and they even won 1 champiomship each, the moment they had to develop a new bike, failure. I could turn around your comparison, put Barry Sheene (a great champion) in a modern bike and make him develop it, see what happens :dunno
I like Toseland very much, if He gets more support and He's lucky to to crash He can do very well :thumbup

Well it's nice to have a debate and any comparison can be made but putting them together in reality can't be done and I think personally that the likes of Barry Sheene and Kenny Roberts would fare quite well on the bikes of today because it was mainly down to them 2 the bikes progressed as they did anyway this could well go on and on making comparisons but it's best just to enjoy what looks like being a great season ahead.
